An exterior fire on the rear porches of a four-story occupied rooming house severely damaged a South Main Street building in Woonsocket. The suspicious fire occurred on April 29, 2016, in the early evening. Heavy smoke was pushing up into the sky as the apparatus responded. A blitz attack darkened down the bulk of the fire in minutes. Minor extension was found as companies opened up on the interior. Several cats were rescued during secondary searches.
