On June 12, 2016, Stations 55 (Magnolia), 41 (Camden) and 48 (Felton) were alerted for a structure fire. Engine 554 arrived a few minutes later under the direction of Chief Rhodes and advised they had a two-story, single-family home fully involved with exposures on both sides catching. Just a few minutes after that, command advised three homes were involved and requested two additional ladders, bringing Ladders 49 and 46. As mutual aid arrived, crews made aggressive attacks on the exposures but had little success due to strong winds. At this point, aerial master streams were placed in service. Units operated for an hour-and-a-half to bring the fire under control. The State Fire Marshal’s Office investigated the fire.
