Members of the West Islip Fire Department laid to rest 38-year member, lifetime member, Raider, active Fire Commissioner and ex-Captain Mitch Lohan. Mitch was a great friend to many and his dedication to the department and to the community is impossible to express into words. We will miss his positive attitude that inspired many younger members. Rest in peace Captain Mitch Lohan. We’ll take it from here brother. He was 57.
