On August 1, 2016, Willi-mantic (CT) Fire was dispatched to Ash and North Streets for several calls for a vacant house fire. Car-1 arrived to find the 2-1/2 story house with heavy fire to the rear on two floors. A second alarm was transmitted soon after. After evaluating the scene and considering the prior history of the building it was decided not to enter it. UConn tower 122, Tower 101 and Truck 1 took positions on three sides; heavy over growth hampered truck operations. The fire extended into the void spaces and attic.
