WORKING RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE ON LINCOLN AVE. TWO DISPLACED

SUFFOLK, Virginia (March 31, 2024): Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to the 900 Block of
Lincoln Avenue for a residential structure fire. Suffolk Emergency Communications Dispatch
Center dispatched the incident at 1:36 a.m.

Battalion 1 arrived at 1:42 a.m. to find heavy fire and smoke showing from the single story
detached residential structure. Crews entered the home and performed an aggressive attack
on the fire and searched the residence. Searches of the residence were all clear and the fire
was placed under control at 2:05 a.m. No injuries to firefighters or occupants are reported. Two
occupants are displaced, one adult and one juvenile.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.

Responding units included Battalion 1, Battalion 2, Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 4, Ladder 3,
Rescue 1, Medic 1, EMS1, Safety 1, Fire Marshal 7, and Suffolk Police.
