On April 24, 2024, a single-engine Socata TBM-700 aircraft crashed while landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Two people were aboard. The airport’s crash-fire-rescue department responded, along with mutual aid units including Raleigh Fire, Durham Highway Fire, and Wake County EMS. One of the occupants was trapped and required extrication. Both the pilot and passenger were transported to area hospitals and later reported to be in fair and good condition.
