Niskayuna Fire District 1 firefighters were confronted with large tires that were maliciously set on fire behind the Jewish Community Center on Balltown Road in the Schenectady County town of Niskayuna. The initial fire sparked a brush fire that blackened several acres of land. The City of Schenectady and Niskayuna Fire District 2 assisted at the scene.
