The Town of Islip broke ground on January 9, 2016, for a new town fire museum. The facilit,y which has been a long time coming, will be located on the ground of the Bethpage Federal Credit Union Ballpark (home of the LI Ducks) within the Federal Court Complex in Central Islip.
