The Syosset Fire Department and Nassau County Police responded to a house fire on Barbara Lane in Syosset on May 29, 2016. Upon arrival, firefighters were confronted with a heavy fire condition coming from a second-floor bedroom. A female occupant was able to escape the home prior to first responder’s arrival. She was treated for minor injuries at the scene by Nassau County Police Medics. Assisting were crews from Jericho and Plainview. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
