Cleveland fire companies rescued a teenage boy from the branches of a partially submerged tree above Big Creek in the Metropark’s Brookside Reservation. Technical Rescue Squad 2 worked the shoreline while Technical Rescue Squad 1 entered the water with their rescue boat tethered to a rope system and brought the young man to safety. He was evaluated by Cleveland EMS and released. Sudden heavy rains can create dangerous situations. Cleveland firefighters encourage everyone to not enter moving water or even standing water on flooded streets.
