A vacant house on Hamlin Street in North Providence (RI) was the scene of a suspicious fire. Firefighters arrived to heavy fire in the cellar of the 1-1/2 story wood frame which was rapidly extending to the first floor. Command struck a second alarm for manpower and then ordered all companies out of the building. Crews were able to return to the interior to finishing mopping up once the bulk of the fire was knocked.
