Perkiomen Township Fire Company’s Engine 66 and an all-volunteer crew stood by at Penn Wynne Fire Company Station 21 on July 10. 2021, for a six-hour shift. We were honored to cover Station 21 while they mourned the loss of volunteer firefighter Sean W. DeMuynck, a fellow brother and friend. Various crews were stationed there throughout the week. A tradition early on was to fly the Canadian flag from the visiting apparatus to honor Sean, who originally hailed from Canada and was set to return there this week. Firefighter DeMuynck made the ultimate sacrifice while battling a house fire in Lower Merion Township on July 4, 2021. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and all of the Lower Merion Fire Department.
