The Selden Fire Department announced the LODD of ex-Captain of Truck 1, former Commissioner and District Mechanic Joseph Parente of the Selden Volunteer Fire Department. Ex-Captain Parente died suddenly as a result of the Covid-19 virus. Our deepest condolences to Joe’s family and the entire Selden community. On May 9, 2020, numerous fire departments joined the Selden Fire Department in a drive-by to honor the family of ex-Captain Parente. May he rest in peace as he guides us from the floor above.
