The Secaucus Fire Department was dispatched to Paterson Plank Road for a fire in the kitchen of Noches De Columbia restaurant. Crews arrived to a smoke condition in the kitchen area along with high heat in the structure. Upon further investigation, smoke was found in the walls on the C side of the structure. As a result of the extension from the kitchen, the assignment was upgraded to a second alarm. A third alarm quickly followed as heavy smoke began to show from the rear of the building while crews continued the interior attack. Mutual aid came from Rutherford, East Rutherford, Lyndhurst and Jersey City. Three lines were stretched as the fire was marked knocked down approximately an hour after arrival. One firefighter was treated on scene for minor injuries.
