What could have ended in disaster for a Seaford family was averted by Anthony Massaro, a sharp-eyed Seaford postman who, as he was delivering mail to a Tuscala Street home on July 19, 2016, observed a fire inside. Massaro immediately called 911 and reported the fire. The Wantagh Fire Department responded and Engine 1 stretched a line to the front door. Firefighters, under the command of 2nd Assistant Chief Ken Kelly, quickly extinguished the fire. No one was home at the time.
