On May 18, 2016, the Sag Harbor Fire Department was dispatched for a report of a structure fire on Ferry Road in North Haven. Arriving units reported a working fire in a garage section of a house, and Sag Harbor Chief Tom Gardella immediately called for mutual aid from East Hampton and North Sea; Bridgehampton stood by. Using an aggressive interior attack the fire was extinguished in short order without incident or injuries and, as a result, major damage was limited to the garage area only. The Southampton Town Fire Marshal was requested to the scene.
