On April 24, 2016, the Ridgewood Fire Department responded to N. Maple Avenue, and La Bella Pizza, a single-story ordinary construction strip mall, for a report of heavy smoke. Upon arrival, Car 38 transmitted a general alarm. First-due Engine 35, stretched two lines, holding the fire to the area of origin. The fire was deemed accidental by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Arson Squad.
