The City of Somers Point Fire Department responded to New Road in front of The Pastry Pantry for a report of a car fire. Dispatch advised the vehicle was in close proximity to the building and, upon arrival of Engine 44, its crew stretched a line to protect the building and attack the fire. The fire was brought under control quickly with no extension to the building.
