Ex-Captain George H. Persson passed away on August 12, 2016. He was 55.
On August 17, 2016, the Port Jefferson Fire Department laid to rest ex-Captain Persson of Rescue Engine Hose Co. 3. Ex-Captain George Persson will be missed by the people who knew him and the lives he touched. Prayers of strength go out to his family and friends, especially to his wife LynnAnne Walsh-Persson.
