The Abington (MA) Fire Department responded to a an MVA on Brockton Avenue (Route 123) at Niles Street. Companies arrived to find a single-vehicle MVA with a pickup into a telephone pole. The pole was snapped with the top of the pole, holding three transformers, resting on the top of the truck, while the bottom of the pole was stuck under the truck. National Grid was requested and they terminated power in the immediate area.
