Pawtucket (RI) Engine 4 arrived to find fire around a Bravo side doorway at an adult group home on North Bend Street on a frigid March 11, 2017. Companies also found high heat conditions on the second and third floors. The fire had extended up the non-insulated exterior wall to the attic. Crews tried to stop the extension but the fire was too advanced. The OIC sounded the all-out as heavy fire broke through the center of the roofline. Ladder pipes went into operation to try to get the fire knocked down enough to allow the firefighters to re-enter to open up. The fire ground iced up quickly as temperatures hovered in the low 20s (excluding wind chill).
