A deep seated fire made for a big challenge to over 100 firefighters in Passaic on July 23, 2017. Crews arrived to find very heavy fire in a three-story building. The fire, which started inside a pizza parlor, took over five hours to get under control. Fire officials said that it seemed like the fire had been burning for a while before anyone called 911. The fire quickly spread to all three floors of the building and firefighters were pulled from the building as fire started to vent from the roof.
