Norwich (CT) firefighters struck three alarms to bring a fire on North Main Street under control recently. The fire, at an auto repair shop, had broken through the roof upon Engine 2’s arrival, and a second alarm was requested. Units from Taftville, East Great Plain, Laurel Hill and the Mohegan Tribal FAST worked for over an hour using elevated master streams and large bore handlines to finally bring the fire under control. There were no injuries reported, and the Norwich FMO was investigating.
