On September 9, 2016, the Yaphank Fire Department was activated for an MVA with reported overturn on Patchogue-Yaphank Road. Upon arrival, commanding units found the driver of the vehicle trapped and unconscious. The crew of Rescue 15 arrived and quickly extricated the driver by removing the vehicle’s roof. She was then transported to a nearby hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries via a Yaphank ambulance.
