On July 29, 2016, the North Bellmore Fire Department responded to an apartment complex on Newbridge Road. Second Assistant Chief Serviss arrived to fire showing from a second floor unit on the exposure 1 side. Chief of Department Domiano and First Assistant DiRenzo arrived, with Chief Domiano taking command. Engine 654 and Ladder 657 arrived and the crew from 654 put multiple lines into the building as 657 began searches and laddering. The East Meadow Fire Department was requested for a FAST Truck originally, but was put to work on arrival with Ladder 617 setting up in front of the building. The fire was contained to one apartment and knocked down in about 20 minutes. Mutual aid was provided by Wantagh, Bellmore, East Meadow and North Merrick. Units from Levittown and Wantagh stood by.
