On April 10, 2024, at approximately 1540, the Glenwood Fire Company was dispatched for a motorcycle fire in the basement of a house on The Promenade. Second Assistant Chief McGillicuddy arrived to smoke showing from the house. Quint 533 stretched the initial line to quickly knock down the main body of fire. Two lines were stretched and placed into operation with the assistance of crews from Sea Cliff, Glen Cove, Roslyn Rescue and Atlantic Steamers. Overhaul and secondaries were conducted by crews, finding no extension to the upper floors. The fire was placed under control in approximately 45 minutes under the direction of Chief of Department Greig.
