On October 25, 2016, Everett (MA) Fire received calls for a rear porch fire on Floyd Street. First-due companies arrived to heavy fire showing on all floors in the rear of the building. The fire had quickly spread to the B and D side exposures but with an aggressive attack the fire was contained to the original fire building. Engine 2 stretched a line in the driveway and a piece of siding fell off the house and burned through the line. Deputy Michael Ragucci quickly struck the second alarm and, with a couple special calls, the department and mutual aid were able to knock down the stubborn fire.
