The Lindenhurst Fire Department was called to an MVA between an SUV and a car at Straight Path and eastbound Sunrise Highway. The collision trapped the passenger of the car and sent the vehicle into a parking lot where it hit a parked minivan. There were three people in the car who were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital and South Shore University Hospital. A passenger of the car was pronounced dead at the hospital. The others in both vehicles had non-life-threatening injuries.
