The Greenlawn Fire Department responded to a house fire on Rosemont Court, believed to be caused by a lightning strike on July 25, 2016. Greenlawn firefighters began an aggressive attack and mutual aid was requested from Dix Hills and Huntington Manor to the scene, with standby coverage from Centerport and East Northport. The incident was under command of First Assistant Chief Michael Bellis and Third Assistant Chief Angelo Santomauro.
