On December 23, 2016, Bethlehem Police were trying to figure out what caused an elderly woman to veer off Glenmont Road, down and embankment into the Glenmont Plaza crashing into several utility trailers, a pickup truck, and continuing to crash into several more vehicles before stopping in front of Planet Fitness. The Selkirk Fire Department responded to the scene to secure the area. The driver was checked out by Albany County Paramedics and was transported to the hospital by the Bethlehem-Delmar Ambulance Service.
