Cause of Fire Under Investigation

At 11:09 p.m. Monday, firefighters responded to 243 Baltimore Avenue after fire dispatchers received calls of smoke coming from a vacant building. On arrival firefighters found heavy smoke coming from a one story wood frame, vacant boarded up apartment building.  Firefighters found fire inside and had the fire under control within a few minutes. The building is vacant and was boarded up.  Appears no utilities connected to it. Cause of fire is under investigation.  A damage amount is not available at this time. There were no reported injuries. The incident was a one alarm fire and firefighters from Las Vegas Fire & Rescue and Clark County Fire Department responded to the call.
