The Lake Mohegan Fire Department was alerted for a house fire on Sherman Court. Firefighters arrived to heavy fire showing from a two-story private dwelling. Crews were able to enter the structure briefly and make a quick search before fire conditions forced them to move to an exterior attack. Multiple handlines and one ladder pipe were put into operation. The fire was brought under control about an hour after the initial call. No injuries were reported.
