Nitro firefighters, along with units from other local fire departments through mutual-aid battled a 2-alarm house fire on 40th Street, in Nitro. Station 80 was assisted by mutual-aid units . Also providing assistance were units from Nitro Police Department and Putnam County Ambulance. The house received extensive fire damage. A special thanks goes out to Nitro Speedway and McDonald’s for providing water and food to the first responders on scene.
