On September 1, 2016, Hartly volunteers were alerted for a first-due dwelling fire. Crews operated for approximately two hours to bring the fire under control. Two dogs were rescued during secondary searching. Special thanks to Station 56 (Marydel), Station 43 (Cheswold), Station 45 (Clayton) and KCEMS for assisting. Another special thanks goes out to Station 53 (Leipsic) for making the long drive to cover our district.
