The Town of Highlands Fire Department was dispatched to Church Lane for a house fire. First-due companies confirmed a fire on the top floor of a three-story private dwelling and struck a second alarm for additional manpower. Due to the close proximity to the West Point Military Academy the West Point Engine and Truck were called to the scene. The fire was placed under control about 90 minutes after dispatch.
