The New Haven (CT) Fire Department was dispatched to a fire on Ella T. Grasso Boulevard. First companies found heavy fire in the rear on the second floor of a large, occupied, 2-1/2 story wood frame. The fire quickly extended into the upper floor before it could be put under control. There were no reported injuries to residents or firefighters.
