Members of the Mahopac Falls Fire Department got together recently to bring a little sunshine to help celebrate the birthday of one of their own. Bill Heckett, Sr., turned 89 with a little help from his firehouse family. The caravan consisting of a pumper, rescue, ambulance, two chiefs’ cars and numerous members in their private vehicles which were escorted by our friends from the Yorktown Police Department to Mr. Bill’s residence. Members bearing balloons and gifts surprised the birthday boy, who gladly came out to say hello to his brothers and sisters from the fire department and pose for a group picture.
