Late on Halloween, a passerby noticed flames from the back of the One Road Church that was once home to Ronnie’s Softball Park. The chief arrived to fire in a single story structure and requested additional equipment. Shortly thereafter, command called for an external attack. The building, which used to house grounds equipment and a bar, was now converted to a church. The building had limited access and was in a non-hydrant district. Companies from Scottsville, Clifton, Mumford, Caledonia, York, East Avon and Henrietta, along with CHS EMS responded to the scene. A tanker operation was put into use to feed the apparatus. Extra trucks with lighting were also brought in. Scottsville Chief Brian Ely said there were no injuries reported. Later in the day, three fire departments were summoned back to the site for a rekindle. The Monroe County Fire Bureau was conducting the origin and cause investigation.
