On October 27, 2016, Hackensack Fire Department E-4 and R-1 responded to the intersection of Central Avenue and First Street for a working car fire. Upon arrival they found an SUV with the engine compartment heavily involved. A line was stretched as the rescue company gained entry into the passenger compartment and engine. The fire was knocked down in just over five minutes.
