The New Hyde Park Fire Department was dispatched to smoke in the house of a residence on Flower Lane. Multiple chiefs were quickly on the road and Third Deputy Chief Barbagallo arrived to find fire on the second floor. Mutual aid came from Floral Park, Manhasset-Lakeville, South Floral Park, and Garden City. The fire was placed under control within an hour.
