On September 16, 2016, Glen Falls firefighters responded to an eight unit apartment house on Culvert Street in Glen Falls. The fire was reported around 7:50 am in a (8) unit apartment house at 14 Culvert St. in Glen Falls. Firefighters found heavy smoke and fire upon arrival, and rescued several occupants, including five residents from a second-story porch.The heaviest fire was on the second floor, and it was unsure if the building was salvageable. This was the second serious apartment house fire in Glen Falls in less than a week.
