The Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department was dispatched for a house fire on Roosevelt Street. First Assistant Chief Gerrato arrived to a first- and second-floor fire in the rear of a house on Monroe Street. Engine 711 stretched the initial line. At least three lines were stretched and placed into operation to extinguish the fire, which was placed under control in approximately 45 minutes with the assistance of crews from Elmont, West Hempstead and New Hyde Park.
