The Franklin Square and Munson Fire Department dedicated their new training facility in memory of Honorary Chief and Commissioner Joseph M. Torregrossa who passed away on March 21, 2022, from illness related to his time spent at Ground Zero following the September 11 terrorist attacks. The multi-tiered facility took approximately two years to complete from start to finish and Joe was among those involved in the planning process to ensure it met the department’s needs. Many of Joe’s family along with several members of the department and various dignitaries attended the Sunday Morning ceremony.
