Defreestville Fire Company of North Greenbush was dispatched fora smoke in the basement call. Upon arrival, responders found heavy smoke and, on entering the home, there was a flashover, sending one firefighter to the hospital. There are no hydrants nearby so command requested mutual aid from other towns. With all the responders in a small area social distancing was the rule, but pretty hard to enforce. Most of the departments were on scene for about three-hours. The home suffered heavy damage.
