Ex-Captain Ralph Chiesa, a 26-year member of the Garden City Park Fire Department and active member of the Nassau County Fire Riders MC, mourned the loss of his father Corporal Rafael Chiesa, Jr., a US Army veteran who served our country in the Korean War. Mr. Chiesa was taken prisoner on September 18, 1952, and not released until August 27, 1953. A ceremony was held on May 30, 2016, at the Holy Spirit Church, and Mr. Chiesa was escorted by the Nassau County Fire Riders MC to the Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury.
