The NYS Association of Fire Chaplains sadly announced the death of retired FDNY Firefighter Robert J. Lembo of Ladder 144.
Firefighter Lembo was appointed December 17, 1977, and passed away on May 29, 2018. This member bravely served the department protecting life and property in the City of New York in the rescue and recovery at Manhattan Box 5-5-8087 World Trade Center.
The heartfelt sympathy of the entire department is extended to the family, relatives, and friends of the deceased in the midst of the great loss that they and the department have sustained.
The Viewing took place last week at the Bryant Funeral Home and the Funeral Mass was observed at St. James Roman Catholic Church, both in Setauket.
