Lebanon City fire companies were sent to Mifflin Street for a structure fire. Lebanon County Communications advised responding companies that a smoke column could be seen on camera. With the additional info, Chief 15 arrived to a 2-1/2 story, end-of-the-row dwelling, with fire showing on the first floor, possibly extending into the second. He was not sure if the occupants were out. Engine 17 laid a line into the scene and Truck 20 took a position on side A. Engine 25-2 set up in the rear along with Truck 18 and supplied handlines for companies working in the exposures. Command requested defensive operations in the fire building due to a considerable hoarding condition. Numerous lines were placed in service and the bulk of the fire knocked down in about 20 minutes. Command special called companies who were standing by in city stations to the scene to assist with overhaul and mop up. One man, who had been seen re-entering the building, was found, and the coroner was called to the scene.
