On August 27, 2016, the Onesquethaw Fire Department and Albany County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident on Delaware Turnpike at the intersection of Cass Hill Road in the Town of New Scotland. Upon arrival they found a motorcyclist down in the roadway with CPR in progress. The motorcycle left the roadway on the south shoulder, struck a street sign and a guiderail, where it came to rest. The operator was transported to Albany Medical Center by Onesquethaw Volunteer Ambulance, where he was later pronounced. The man was riding with a group of about 60 riders, on a Poker Run fundraiser.
