The Jamesport Fire Department was alerted for a house fire shortly after 0400 on Saint Mary’s Drive in Jamesport. Upon arrival, firefighters found the home fully engulfed along with a boat and car in the driveway, and threatening another home with radiant heat on exposure 4 side. Mutual aid companies came from Riverhead, Flanders, Mattituck, and Cutchogue. A male inside the home was pronounced dead at the scene. The Riverhead Police, Suffolk County Arson Squad and Riverhead Fire Marshal were investigating the cause.
