At 2250 on January 22, 2024, Louisville Fire Department crews were dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 2300 block of Lytle Street. Fire crews arrived on the scene within minutes to find heavy fire in two structures. Twenty-four firefighters were needed to fight the blaze, bringing the fire under control in roughly 15 minutes. The main fire building sustained extensive damage. Closely adjacent buildings on the property sustained minor damage. LFD Arson Investigators worked to determine a cause. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
